Colour becoming atmosphere.
About the artist
An artist shaped by water, light, and the quiet intelligence of materials.
Statement
Based in Bahrain, where the desert meets the Gulf. My work is an attempt to keep what would otherwise disappear: the colour after rain, a watchful form, and the specific blue that exists here at four in the afternoon in winter.
I do not begin with a final drawing. I begin with a feeling, a surface, and a question. Some paintings arrive as landscapes; others as watchful eyes, folklore, birds, or doors in the night.
I follow contour, pigment, and light until the image finds its own atmosphere.
Wall work
From the first mark to a finished public surface.

From the studio
A landscape. A gaze. A portal.
I look for the moment a material stops being a material, and becomes a memory.artmenot / studio note
